A new normal...?

A new normal...?

COVID-19 could tip European countries into recession amid 'sharp ...

Everybody is constantly talking about a new normal, and when we will find it. What we can already see is two major changes the pandemic has created. The first is the increase in remote working situations, online purchases, and video conferencing. The second is companies and people stepping up and doing more for their local and global communities. We believe strongly at DuGut™ that these two situations are the foundation for a new, more sustainable normal, globally.

These changes in online usage are trends which we have already seen growing in prominence over the years, however now have become a necessity. Businesses everywhere have been forced to adapt, this is the new normal. We have been moving towards this at an accelerated rate with the growth of companies like amazon providing online goods, fiverr providing online jobs and Zoom providing online communication for free. We believe that online mass participation, which the younger generations already embrace wholeheartedly, is one of the only logistically viable methods to create lasting change for our society.

Now It if we look at those, that are doing good. By donating their resources companies have been able to provide much needed relief to countries and medical systems which are under pressure. By donating their money celebrities and everyday people have been able to support their local and global communities. So, its this how it always should have been. Is this not the new normal we were so eagerly waiting for before the pandemic. If we look at the landscape of the current Philanthropic or Charity market, we see that the amounted donated as a percentage of GDP has not changed much since the 1970's.

Technology has brought about two evolution to the world of doing good online, and its simply not enough. These solutions are:

1. You can now donate easily online, through platforms like RoundUp that automatically rounds up to the nearest dollar value and donates the rounded up amount when you use your credit card.

2. You can engage in online charity auctions which already exists but allow you to enter to win competitions by donating funds to get entries into the raffle. A great example of this is Omaze who even has celebrities offering experiences like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

However, the biggest issue with both of these is that there is still no change to the underlying system. You the consumer, the user, the hard working citizen have to donate the money that YOU have. We have seen now more than ever why this system has not grown past its limitations. If you take a look at the amount of people in the United States alone who are having to choose between feeding their family and paying their rent because they live paycheck to paycheck. It is simply not feasible for us to globally support and finance the system of doing good via donations, and it is not necessary.

That is why DuGut™ has create a system which is FREE to use, fun and simple. So that we all can get involved and engaged in the solution. Not just the people with money, not just the people with the time. You simply have to be aware of the App and you can take ACTION to create a better world. I know if you are anything like us, that we can make the DuGut movement a global and viral sensation which will reignite our passion for building a better tomorrow. If you share this sentiment; forward this message to your friends, share this email with your colleagues, and spread the word about our upcoming summer Closed BETA Launch. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we appreciate your involvement as an early adopter of this grass roots movement to DO GOOD!!!
